Tell us what you kept in the UK and we will price it
Where you live, what you still own or earn here, and what is worrying you — that is everything we need to put a fixed quote in writing.

We work UK hours but answer WhatsApp well beyond them — most of our expat clients are 4–11 hours away and it has never mattered.
What happens next
A real person reads it (usually Andy or Peter), asks anything that's missing, and sends a fixed quote in writing. No obligation, no follow-up sequence, no calls you didn't ask for.
What to put in the message
You do not need documents to get a quote, and you should not send any yet. Four things are enough for us to price the work accurately:
- Where you live now, and roughly when you left. The country decides which treaty applies; the date decides which tax years are in play.
- What you still have in the UK. Property you own or let, a limited company, pensions, investments, savings, a job you have not fully left.
- What has already happened. Returns filed or not filed, letters from HMRC, a property sale that has completed, tax being deducted from your rent.
- What is actually worrying you. Often the real question is not the one in the form — "can I visit my parents for six weeks without becoming resident again" is a perfectly good opening message.
If something is missing we will ask. Nobody is going to reply with a form to fill in.
What happens after you send it
A person reads it — usually Andy or Peter rather than an inbox. If the picture is clear you get a fixed quote in writing, normally the same working day, UK time. If it is not, you get a short reply asking the two or three things that would change the price, and the quote follows.
The quote says what is included, what is not, and what it costs. There is no obligation attached to it, and no sequence of follow-up emails if you decide to sit on it. If you would rather talk it through first, say so and we will book a call at a time that works where you actually are — not at 9am in London.
What it costs to ask
Nothing. The first conversation, the quote, and the answer to "do I even need to file anything?" are all free — and sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need us at all, which is a much better outcome than an unnecessary annual fee. Published prices are on the pricing page if you would rather look before you write.
Time zones
We work UK hours and answer WhatsApp well outside them. Most of our expat clients are between four and eleven hours away from London and it has never been a problem, because almost nothing in tax needs a same-minute answer. What it does need is somebody who replies on the day rather than next week.

The Statutory Residence Test, explained properly
Whether the UK taxes your worldwide income comes down to a mechanical test of days, ties and work.
The Non-resident Landlord Scheme: keeping all of your rent
Move abroad and your letting agent is legally required to send 20% of your rent to HMRC — unless you stop them with one form.
Selling UK property from abroad: the 60-day rule
Every non-resident who sells UK land or property must file a return within 60 days of completion — profit or loss, tax or no tax.
